Confidentiality

Legal confidentiality is upheld whether you are seen in-person or on-line. Nothing discussed with our clients will be repeated to anyone outside the professional domain. In some instances a practitioner will consult a clinical colleague for assistance and advice. Please be aware that E-mail sent from or received at your place of employment is legally owned by your employer. E-mail cannot be encrypted. Third party interception online is as unlikely as telephone interception, but precautions are being taken with a private chat environment to ensure your privacy and protection.

1.  We are legally responsible to attempt to report any suspicion of child abuse. If you lead us to believe that you would harm a child or elderly person and although we agree you need help, we are required by law to make a diligent effort to report it to social services and/or the police.

2. We are legally responsible to attempt to report if someone's life is in danger, such as suicide or homicide.
